Pontiac Bonneville Recall
The Pontiac Bonneville is considered as a vehicle with the combination of sporty looks and elegance.
But the fact that mistakes and problems can happen is not an impossible thing
for this car. Recalls have been made for those Bonneville that have problems with
them to avoid accidents. Throughout the years of Bonneville's existence, there
have been many recalls made due to some faulty construction or malfunctioning.

Some examples of recalls made for the Bonneville were the 1988 and 1989 models.
The '88 models were recalled due to some safety defects, one was recalled in September
due to defects on the fuel rollover valve and the other was on August due to defects
on fuel sender and pump. In 1989 is a general recall made on May due to problems
on 4th gear clutch. There were also recalls made on the '90s. In 1992, recalls
were made due to defects on control cable. Here, problem arise when the cable
disengage from bracket and falsely indicate gear position. Recall was also made
in 1992 because of defective parking brake lever. In 1993, recall for cars with
defective transmission cooler was also made. There were still many recalls made
through the decade involving light, engine, damaged capacitor, studs and seat
cover problems.
Internal fluid leaks in brake hydraulic-control unit of some cars were the reason
a recall was made in 2000. On the other hand, 2002 Bonneville recall were made
due to problems on gear shifting and in 2003 recalled cars have faulty fuel tank
sensors. General Motors and car dealers made such recall to correct the problems
to avoid causing nuisance and injuries to their buyers.
