1998 Pontiac Bonneville
The 1998 Pontiac Bonneville, with its two trim levels: SE and SSE, was equipped
with a standard 4T65-E transmission along with the standard 3.8L 205 hp V6 engine.
This 4T65-E transmission also features selectable shift modes, performance and
normal. Among the standard features of all Bonnevilles were battery rundown protection,
flash-to-pass and theater dimming of interior lights. There's also an electronic
load leveling available. For safety and personal security, standard features such
as a remote keyless entry and power lock system, full-feature anti-theft system,
daytime running lights, ABS brakes, driver and passenger air bags and child safety
locks were available.
Optional features available for the 1998 Bonneville includes the 3.8L 6 cylinder
240 hp supercharged engine, power sunroof, an AM/FM radio with cassette and metallic
paint. New exterior colors for this year are Topaz Firemist, Navy Blue metallic
and Emerald Green Metallic. The new interior color, the Caramel, is also offered
for 1998. The '98 Bonneville has a wheelbase that measured 110.8" and an overall
length of 202.1". It has a curb weight of 3.587 lbs., cargo capacity of 18 cu.
ft. and can allow 5 persons inside with a front headroom and legroom of 39.2"
and 42.6" respectively.
